I only had a half day but I didn't want to waste such a nice sunny day, so I decided to do Ha Ling and Miners Peak solo trip.

Already at the summit. Looking down spectacular view of Canmore… I am sick of this view!!

Mount Roundle behind. I noticed one thing. The official height of Ha Ling is 2407m which is totally wrong. It should be around 2475m. My GPS usually get quite accuratre reading and now I have done it twice, both records show it is around 2475m.

At Miners Peak. It only takes 30 min or so. The big mountain on the left is Mount Lawrence Grassi. I have to do that one someday and which means I have to see the spectacular view of Canmore at least one more time… On the center, there is a small peak GR123573, and on the right, Ha Lign Peak.

This little one is GR123573. I saw a well established trail goes around this peak to the col between GR and Grassi. I wonder where that trail go? I went on top of GR123573 and descended from there.

My descent route can be steep for some people, if you get scared easily, don't follow my way. With right amount of snow like it was, descent was fun.

Mouse over to see descent route line.

Just in time. I came back to car before I needed to use headlamp.
