Suitable PvE

Instruction Pretty basic setup.

[1] orison of healing for party members as well as yourself.
[2] when you are expecting big dmg (such as in fow or uw) use divine boon might be a good idea, but if not you should bring something else like divine spirit.
[3] and always bring rez right? i personally like restore but often rebirth comes handy too.

I always find being 100% healer is better than 70% healer. it's maybe just me but i can concentrate better that way.

Pros

Cons this build does not have self protection.
adding prot spirit helps a lot.

Guest Monks should NEVER bring a rez. Bottom Line. Period. End of Discussion... Pro 2010 06 15 - 02:39
Guest I have been playing monk for quiet a while now Most party members bring a Res signet with them So its no use for a monk to res in combat just keep the party alive if 1 dies a party member will prolly res it and as a monk take rebirth with you and res after combat.
For the energy flow use cheap fast healing spells and 2 or 3 higher energy cost spells with you and use glyph of lesser energy if your a monk/ele for monk/mesmer take mantra of recal or energy drain
Piece and harmony is a waste of space in your skill bar

Guest alright. monks always carry a res. bottom line. peace and harmony is useless. worry about peoples health.. not their energy. breeze is a good healing spell. mass healing spells are silly cause they demand too much energy. and focus on one aspect of being a monk. either you protect or heal. you cant be effective if your doin both. heal or protect. its that simple. and last but not least... every healing monk should carry word of healing (elite), its by far the most effective healing spell on the game. 2007 01 09 - 15:50
house of durai I agree with the last guest. Monks should always carry a res. But for which one to take.. just make sure ONE monk has Rebirth. I like Peace and Harmony for energy management. Divine healing sucks cause of it's range. And Heal Party just uses too much energy. H.P. is good for a Rezmer or a Support E/Mo. Amature 2006 10 18 - 16:38
Guest I play guild wars since the original release, but I never hard of monk shouldn't bring rez before. It is only true for pvp, not pve. 2006 08 09 - 14:28
Guest Breeze sucks. Don't bring boon on a healer. Divine healing = worthless. You have a res as well, monk should't bring res. Noob 2006 07 22 - 17:05
Guest healing breeze does benefit from boon by the way 2006 06 19 - 11:41
Guest Use a word healer instead and skills like seed and pro spirit work wonders..fyi protecting against damage>healing damage.prot spirit ftw.it can save a LOT of energy compared to healin through the damage. 2006 06 18 - 05:24
Guest Heal party and healing breeze dont benefit from boon, no synergy and baaad energy managment! Noob 2006 06 18 - 05:22
