My first plan was The Fist just like two weeks before this trip. My previous attempt was shut down by trail closer due to bear activity, so this time I checked website. It didn't say anything about Commonwealth creek trail closure, but when I arrived at the parking lot, I saw the same thing. Yellow tape! The trail was still closed.

So I left the parking lot and drove down south and saw Mount Kent. K-k-k-k-Kent, one of the most boring peaks I have ever done... and I refuse to write a trip report on this peak! Boo! Boo! Who would cover such boring peak on a book (that would be Nugara lol)? Booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!

Some cleaning done after the flooding. This is where I started.

I'm writing trip report after more than 1 year, and I don't remember exactly, but if I think I couldn't find a trail most of the way up.

It was decent day at this point. I didn't know the mountain range behind is actually called Spray Mountains which includes Warspite, Black Price, etc.

Then Darth Vader had arrived and ruined my views.

The rain made slabs bit slippery. My friend came here when snow was here and told me his horror story about this place. I have to agree if snow is here, this place would be dangerous.

You can see the drainage I used for approach I believe… Actually I don't quite remember… or maybe it more like I don't want to remember about this boring peak….

Mount Kent is actually quite unique in weird way. The actual summit is clearly lower than many high points on this long ridge which has an official name Kent Ridge. I just could not stop questioning about what kind of right-minded person would randomly pick this non-significant high point and call it as the summit?

Looks nasty.

Darth Vader is gone and now it's peaceful.

Don't like walking on this type of drainage. Too much debris.
