Pink line is the actual track I took which was recorded by my GPS. We almost made it to the peak but we couldn't. So the data shown here is up to where we stopped. Also there should be an unmaintained trail however due to the snow condition, we could not find it. Please use my track as a general guidance and not an accurate trail track.

Couldn't find trail, so we bushwhacked pretty much entire way up to above tree line.

Weather wasn't what I read from weather network. I start losing faith in their forecast.

Ali prays. "Please god protect me from So… That man will push me off from a cliff..."

Andrea at Old Baldy Ridge. Old Baldy's west ridge (approach route) is shown far.

Towards the west ridge. Once on this ridge wind picked up as expected…

At the bottom of the west ridge.

Interesting looking rock.

As we ascent, the weather seemed improved at least for a little while.

Fighting with deep fresh snow and/or old hard and slippery snow.

Andrea and Wil coming up.

PAGE 12: HIDE PAGE 12SHOW/HIDE PIC 1

Terrain became steeper and stepping on slippery hard snow became more problem.

Looking down south slope. Can't see but down bottom, there is a lake and Old Baldy trail leads to that lake. Taking that trail is another option.

Walking beside cool cornices.

PAGE 17: HIDE PAGE 17SHOW/HIDE PIC 1

Higher we went hard snow became more slippery. Wil and Shaun actually slid. Only Wil and I had crampons.

PAGE 18: HIDE PAGE 18SHOW/HIDE PIC 1

The summit in sight we were boxed out with icy snow and icy rocks. Shaun went up little farther to see if we can find another route but we decided to turn back. At the same time snow started to fall heavier.

Crampons and ice axe… Served me well that day.

PAGE 20: HIDE PAGE 20SHOW/HIDE PIC 1

Snow and sharp rock towers made this cool view.

PAGE 21: HIDE PAGE 21SHOW/HIDE PIC 1

Probably it was around -10 C with 30km/h wind all day long. Kinu's face can't be seen.

PAGE 22: HIDE PAGE 22SHOW/HIDE PIC 1

That's how cornices get created.
