Banded Peak is the one looks like pyramid with horizontal stripe. It's funny Banded Peak and other peaks around that mountains are the ones always get snow first.

This is bike & hike. Banded Peak was Kevin's to do list for last 30 years he told me. He said once or twice a month he looked at the mountain for last 30 years. The only reason why he never attempted is because the book said "full day". Now what is full day exactly, one might ask. I did. So I looked at the book and longest hour I could find was 14 hrs. So full day is longer than 14 hrs? From my experience 12 hr hike made my legs like a heavy woods.

This road is very famous route called Big Elbow. A lot of mountain bikers come here to have fun.

It was a nice day.

That how the peak looks like from the other side. It looks like woman's breast.

PAGE 7: HIDE PAGE 7SHOW/HIDE PIC 1

It was one of the best views I have seen. Mountains are close together and shapes of neighbors were cool too.

The mountain in the far side in the center is called Mount Glasgow. Google Earth's 3D is so cool. Sometimes I don't know mountain names, so import my track data into Google Earth and use 3D to simulate the view, from there I can identify the mountain and get coordinates then I can lookup topo map and find out the names.

Kevin at the summit. Mount Cornwall behind. That's another mountain in my bible. Have to try someday.

Another great picture from the summit. I heard onec in a year there is a race to come up here. I bet these people enjoy the view as well.

The mountain on the left does not have official name but known as "Outlaw". Quite a cool name. Another reason why I should come back here.

Another shot of Outlaw. It's cool how suddenly the slope becomes cliff.

Mouse over to the image to see mountain names. I didn't know I was seeing Mist Mountain. That's one of my to-do list. Mist Mountain has a hot spring some where. If my research is aculeate it should be 1km to East and 0.5km South from the summit. Unfortunately I cannot find any GPS data for that.
