This is the other side (North side) of famous Castle Mountain here in Banff.

The East end of Helena Ridge. It would be nice walking the ridge to its peak. I am considering doing it next time.

The break on the left is Eisenhower Peak and the right side is Castle Mountain.

Helena Ridge on the right and Rockbound Lake is covered by ice and snow already. Not like lakes in Calgary which weren't frozen at this time.

It doesn't appear to be easy to hike Castle Mountain, but the trick is go from Helena ridge and get higher point then go around the Rockbound lake to get to Castle.

Snow got deeper as I got closer to the lake. Some places there was up to my pretty hip.
