My first time coming down this far south in Kootenay. I was quite excited about that. The first day of the May long weekend, I decided to go to Kindersley Pass and summit nicknamed peaks "Kindersley Peaks" near Radium.

I used the book Hikes around Invermere by Aaron & Matt for my reference. Both parking for Kindersley or Sinclair was easy to miss. If you are coming from north, there is a view point and speed limit is reduced to 60 km/h only few km before the parking for Kindersley. There is a small opening with the trail map on the east side of the road.

I followed Kindersley Pass up to where I marked as "Shortcut" (page 3). I didn't bring snowshoes and that was a mistake. It was hard to walk and I kept dipping my foot many times, when I saw the avalanche pass drainage at "Shortcut" I decided to walk on hard avalanche debris. This resulted more direct approach to north peak of "Kindersley Peaks". This route meets up with the trail again up higher and I suggest to follow the trail once come across with it because as I got closer to the peak, scree got softer and loser. Following the trail to the Kindersley-Sinclair Col (waypoint "Junction") then ascent to the peak would have been easier I have to guess. Once I summited the north peak, I went down to the col then to the south peak. From the south peaks, normally I think people go back to the col then have choice of go back to the same way or take Sinclair Creek Loop to make a big loop. But I went down from the second south peak by taking a gully right at the summit cairn (page 12). It was little steep for the first 30 m but manageable. At the bottom of the gully there was a creek I followed, but also I had to deal with bushwhacking. This creek merged with another drainage where trees open up and I found a nice animal trail in north side of the creek. Soon after the creek merged to another major creek and it was where I got on to Sinclair Creek Loop trail.
