Backpacking trip to Fatigue Mountain and Citadel Peak. This episode is about 1st day to Fatigue Mountain, and report is from Howard Douglas Lake campground, omitting how to get to the campground, but in short you start from Sunshine Village Ski Resort and hike the beautiful Sunshine Meadows hike.
There isn't much to say about Fatigue Mountain's route. It's endless scree slope all the way up.

Now you can see the whole Fatigue. No route finding required. Just slug up.

Heatwave on that day made this slugfest even harder. I was dying to go up the slope.

Thankfully higher I went, not only temperature dropped, but also nice little wind helped me to cool down and my pace picked up.

I dipped on this small muddy lake and lost my glasses. I still have Citadel to climb…
