Backpacking trip to Flathead Range in Crowsnest Pass. Since this became a part of Castle Wildland provincial park, I am not sure what it's like now. I don't know if there is proper parking for this trail or not, but the quad trail should be still there that goes little beyond where I camped.
Day 1 objective is Andy Good Peak. Again I don't know bike is allowed or not, but if so I suggest bike approach. However I will not bike all the way. See here for good bike drop point. Going up to the col looked little iffy as it looked like a rockband (pic 4), but it was nothing challenging, just natural stairs. The crux would be the south ridge where there were couple of slab sections (pic 11, 12). If I remember correctly 2nd slab can be entirely avoided by stepping out of ridge, but 1st slab were not. The difficulty of the slab was similar to Mount Buller or Big Sister's slab.

Near the camp spot. Go to the col on the right and go up the ridge from there.

Rockband seen from far but it's easy scramble.

There was a very nice almost like man-made flat spot for camping.

MREs, the best for short camping trips. It may take more space and heavier than dried meals, but taste way better.
